The artist's affection for Superman shines through in this piece! I guess that's what distinguishes great artists from the merely good ones; he or she is no longer just trying to create art that the audience may find interesting, but truly communicating his own attitudes about the subject matter.

JB, that's a REALLY sweet illustration. If I may ask, from a design POV...did you consider blackening the background as in the original cover?

JB, you're really great at drawing powerful legs that are not too bulky looking. I always notice that when you draw Superman.
