This is the title page (minus the dialog) that JB sneaked back in October:
And here's the link to the thread that I pulled the images above:

This series is just awesome the story/art and color just amazing. I hope that we get more of the The High Ways after this first series. The sic-fi aspect of HW is very well done and has my interest peeked, as to where this new timeline is headed in the future of NextMen.
JB, you have captured the feel of good and true science fiction and I would like to see you play more in this area be it HW or other stuff you come up with. It takes me back to when I was young and discovering cool and interesting movies in this genre. Like War of the Worlds or Forbidden Planet.

I read my copy. Great as usual. This seems like a much more substantial comic than any others I've been reading. All I can say about the end of this issue is...What the hell is going on?

I really enjoyed The High Ways #2. Great cover and love how the story & art work together. Very intriguing space situations that keep me wanting more. Again some questions answered but even more arise. Ugh, now we wait another 30...

Finished mine! Beautiful book, artwork and colors are excellent. The first issue felt like an old EC sci fi tale to me. I think Sean nailed it with this one. Issue two really has a Forbidden Planet vibe. The only thing I disliked about the book was, it ended. I'm ready for the next issue.

Given how this story takes so many unexpected turns, I can't believe there are only 4 issues scheduled... There are so many intriguing elements...This issue took me by surprise at nearly every page ! I have no idea where this is going, all I know is that I am there for the whole run, and I want the whole run to be much much longer than 4 issues...

I'm really loving The High Ways. Great story, interesting characters, and superb art.
In all honesty, in recent years, I've felt that JB's artistic direction and my reading tastes have gone in different directions. While I've enjoyed his books, few have been in the category of, "Yeah, I'll read that one again." (Not meant to be a criticism of JB's talents. Like I said, I chalked it up to us "drifting apart."
Then Cold War came out, and I really, really loved it. Certainly in my favorite two books that came out that year. So far, The High Ways is looking to supplant The Walking Dead as my favorite comic this year. So I guess you could say my tastes have caught up to where you are now!
So, now with the second great cliffhanger in a row, I'm anxiously awaiting issue 3!

Ridley Scott should have junked Prometheus and turned this series into a film.

What a read! I am really digging this universe!
I really like that we jumped right into the action, getting deeper into the mystery we were left with at the end of the first issue.
The interplay between the characters is a lot of fun with varying degrees of temperaments. I like that this group doesn't always get along.
Eddie and Marilyn's walk on the planet is a cool sequence -- cool sci-fi elements with just the right edge of your seat tension.
