JB has an incredible ability to bring out the best in the characters he works on. I don't think I've ever seen these superheroes before, but I already want to know a lot more about them!

The Freedom Brigade is something that I'm not even familiar with, but this commission is so good that I'd want to read this. Your choice to ad the gray tones, perfect. The villain change hits the target.

I can't believe how much time I've spent looking at this commission. I seriously can't believe how lucky the owner is and how jealous I am. I don't have the words to describe how much I love this piece.

Now, I'm wondering... Standard Comics went out of the business in the 1950's, and I never saw a "Freedom Brigade" comic book from the 1980's. In fact, the Freedom Brigade that I am aware of was a parody of the Justice League of America in "The Inferior Five" comic book back in the 1960's. Is the Freedom Brigade used in this commission a fan-created team using the old Standard heroes as a group?

I've always loved the look of the Black Terror. Really wanted to like Project: Super Powers a few years ago and it didn't click. Great commission!

Not to be a bigger buzzkill than Buzz Killington, but can we have a moratorium declared on 'commissions for cool cover ideas, for comics that we'll likely NEVER BE ABLE TO READ!', please?
This one's particularly 'bad' - JB does classic 'vintage' heroes vs. a giant (Nazi!) robot. So many itches waiting to be scratched - and yet all this does is tickle them. That makes me a saaaaad panda.
So yeah - naughty commissioner, and bad JB, too, for being such teases! No biscuits and cocoa for a month, you cheeky swines...!

I have not read any story of these characters, but this one looks like it might have been fun.
Great robot, BTW!

Great comiission! After seeing JB create/draw many different 40's and 50's era giant robots, it makes me wonder what a "Steampunk" era JB giant robot would look like.

Confused as hell about the characters, no idea bout Standard Comics or the Freedom Brigade, but that giant robot looks awesome (the mecho-gunk within his maw is a great touch), love the grey tones and the logo really pops.
Just a really well drawn piece of art.
