I didn't care for Jack but maybe I'm not supposed to.

••

I had to think for a moment who "Jack" is! I my head, he's Cagney.

And he's a jerk, so how much you like him will depend on your threshold for jerks!!

In that case, I'll probably move in with him and buy him expensive
clothes from Express and a Coach purse.

I really liked the first issue. Eddie's a
likable protagonist and I love Jonesy
already. I didn't care for Jack but maybe I'm
not supposed to. I also liked that JB took
his time introducing us to a very plausible
futuristic world and let us get comfortable
with it before revealing some of the more
"fantastic" elements.

=====
I have to echo Bill's remarks except I like Jack. He's my kind of jerk.

Your inking is top notch as usual, and Leonard O'Grady's colors
deserve a special mention.

BTW, I LOVE the space toilet! It looks very practical.

I didn't twig the Next Men connection (I don't think that matters though). I think this series is going to be my sci-fi fix to cover the lack of Star Trek stuff I would read.

Oh I must mention that JB's art always works digitally.

JB, when Marilyn and I were on the station, if we had looked straight up,
would we have seen people walking "upside down" in the distance?

I can already tell Jonesy is going to be my favorite of this bunch. I like Cagney, he may be a jerk but there has to be something of substance to his character for Marilyn to work with him for so long. The art is top notch and this issue set-up everything for the next three issues nicely. It fleshed out all the characters, established the science behind everything and created the mystery of why they were sent out to Europa. Not to mention who or what was looking through that window at Eddie. All classic sci-fi has that opening scene where this all happens and JB pulled it off in 22 pages where some sci-fi gets bogged down in excess before the story "begins". Counting down my 30 days until the next issue.

Just got mine today.  Looks like it will be a fun ride.  The only thing I don't really care for is the mystery masked person.  Just a little bit too creepy!

I have a question. The ad for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary series,
on the back cover, states that there is cover art by John Byrne. Did I
miss this or is JB holding out on us?
