My goal for 2014 is to get back to Seattle for Emerald City Con. And then spend a few extra days there seeing the places I didn't see when I there this past July!

Horror Hound Weekend in Cinci in March - Heroes Con in June - Something in the fall - either one of the Cinci cons or a horror convention somewhere I'm sure I'll show up at Wizard World Ohio at some point.

Got my usuals: -Gem City (Dayton) -Motor City (Novi) -Cincinnati Expo -maybe WW Ohio if they invite me again...
After that... I'm not sure. Might do Heroes, or WW Chicago, or Toronto. I'd really like to go to Toronto, but I set up at these shows, and it's getting harder and harder to get motivated for shows that are over 3 days long and over 3 hours away...
And I love the Motor City con dearly. Great show! They are really trying this year to make sure that the comic guests are not considered a "bonus", so I'm looking forward to seeing the final guest list. But heads-up, last year the Saturday of the convention was jam packed!

This year, I will be attending the Asbury Park Comic con(New Jersey) March 30th, this one show is by one of the guys Robert Bruce from Comic book men. The next one is also a one day show Mike Carbo's Comic book marketplace, April 6th. Next is April's Boston con for a weekend with Perez. Then Baltimore and Pittsburgh for more Perez. And of course October's NYCC. Wizard Philly is up in the air.

We don't have many in England, but if anyone wants to treat me to the air fare/hotel bills for a trip to the US, I'll be happy to let you do that. :) *** Thought Bubble in Leeds is pretty good. I get the impression the UK/Ireland cons are way more laid back than the US. (I'd be interested to hear peoples' opinions who have been to both). I'm hoping the DICE convention in Dublin happens this year. Maybe Leeds and Derry too.

Motor City is trying to improve. No doubt about that. That used to be a show I wouldn't miss. I probably will make an appearance. At the very least just to pick up my Perez commission.

FanExpo for me!!!
@ Dave Aikins: FanExpo in Toronto is massive (all caps) and gets bigger every year. An artist working 'artist alley' may meet a larger audience or get swallowed up, but either way it's a huge show and IMO worth a check. Last weekend of August!

I tend to avoid the big shows as I'm mainly interested in Comicbooks as opposed to Movies, publishers, art, toys, cosplay and autographs.
The last Large show I went to was that NYC con at the Javitz Center a few years ago that famously overbooked the event and I gained a new appreciation for sardines ! At that con I'd say 7% of the room was devoted to selling comicbooks !
For any in the NY/Conn/NJ/PA area there are a few ( relatively) small conventions that are terrific both in price & selection for comics: One is a charity- Superheroes for Hospice http://www.barnabashealth.org/hospitals/hospice/comic/ located in W. Orange NJ. ( 3 or 4 tmes a year with at least 150 Longboxes of donated comics for sale at dirt cheap prices.)
The other is: http://www.njcomicbookshows.com/ which has a couple of shows every month out of Clifton, Secaucus & East Hanover.

Batlimore is a def. Not sure about NYCC this year. It had become a giant mess of a show..... too chaotic and crowded to enjoy as much as years past.
May drive over to the Comic Geek Speak Super Show in Reading this April. They didn't have one last year, but I was at the last two and it is a great atmosphere for such a small venue.

Gem City in Dayton is close to where I live but falls a week after MegaCon. Maybe hard for some to believe but Orlando > Dayton!
