So I was able to meet one of the coolest dudes there is today which is of course Stan Lee. Wasn't sure if I would have been able to meet him as tickets sold out, but I was able to sneak in by the hairs of my ass as they were able to sell a few more tickets. Sure I had to wait two hours to meet him, and was only able to say a few words as everyone was being herded like cattle, but it was worth it. I told Stan that he was the MAN and at the end he told me "atta boy".

Yeah, it's a bit silly, but I've wanted to meet Stan since I pretty much a child. Really wish I could have talked to him a bit more, but yeah. I can't imagine many 90 year olds who can get over 1,000 people to wait in line to meet them as well as charge top price for a picture/autograph. Quite insane. Plus he was at Motor Con yesterday before coming to Big Wow in San Jose. How the hell does someone that is 90 have so much energy? Hell, just thinking about his schedule makes me tired. Either way here a pic of Stan and I. Yeah, pretty silly, but it was a pretty big moment for me.

Stan is a hottie, I swear he doesn't age, he may just be a mutant of some kind. He is so sweet too. Congrats on meeting him, your post was infectious, the boyhood wonder came through. Put a smile on my face.

Glad to see someone here got to meet the man!  I couldn't afford the ticket myself, but hearing him speak before an audience at a panel at the Baltimore Comic Con a few years back was an experience I'll never forget.

My current plans beside this year's BCC will now include a smaller local convention or two, with one coming to Newark, Delaware on June 30th.  Brett Breeding (an inker at Marvel comics who worked with Mike Zeck on Captain America and Secret Wars) will be one of the guests.  I plan on hanging out there pretty much the whole time.

Didn't go to the Motor City Con but I found this pic that was taken there.
I loved it and thought I'd share.

Motor City is a memory now. Time to start building up the epic time that
should be Philadelphia!

Had a great weekend hanging out with Joe and Jason. Didn't get to spend much time with Dave and Andy but it was nice meeting Dave's father and being snubbed by Dave's son.

It was also great talking with Greg. Wish we had more time to chat. Always nice to see Steven and it was a pleasure meeting with Rob and his son.

The traffic to get into the parking lot was so backed up they were cutting off the exit on the highways. When the police wouldn't let me onto the street of the convention center I had to do some fancy driving aka illegal turns to get close. I also bribed a local diner $50 to let me park at their establishment as there was no parking to be found at least a mile away. We got to the con a good two hours late because of the jam up. But I did it all so Joe could make it to the con and have fun. What a pal I am!!

Didn't do much in terms of buying anything. Joe bought me a quickie Guy Fawkes sketch from David Lloyd and I did get my picture taken with Colin Baker!

Still tired from too many late nights and drinking. Which I am not used to in my real life. Looking forward to heading out with Jason to the Philly Con in about a week. With a side trip to Atlantic City and hopefully other surprises are in store for us.

Great stories, guys - sounds like you had a wonderful time.

I wish I could join you guys in Philadelphia.  It's a fantastic city and I bet it will be a great show.

Looks like Tammy and I will be joining some of the boys for dinner in Philadelphia, so technically I will be attending near WWPhiladelphia.

Am I going to have to bail people out in Chicago?

I guarentee that there will not be a repeat of Chicago 2012 this year!
Unless Beatles Fest ropes us in again!

There ain't no party like a Beatlesfest party, Jodi. No worries, we travel with our lawyer all the time.
