Personally, I still prefer WonderCon to be in San Francisco, but this was a big step up from last year in Anaheim (the lack of competing events and move to Halls A & B helped immensely).
The food trucks were a welcome addition as well (saved me from walking to IHOP).

But the cheerleaders and the girls' volleyball players posing for pictures with the cosplayers was really funny.

Except for trying to get lunch or dinner from the Hilton Hotel food court (or Starbucks) while those same events were going on last year, or transiting between Hall D and the Hilton in a timely manner.I think the new addition of the Anaheim Convention Plaza was definitely a plus for the con, since it opened up space for the fore-mentioned food trucks and cosplay photo ops.

Great pictures, Bill! The shots of the outside plaza really capture what makes the convention center a good venue. That area made for a good place to hang out and get some sun after being in the hall. And those views from the second and third floor walkways were wonderful. I see you took advantage of them as well!
I tend to just visit Anaheim to see Angels games or go to Disneyland - it was great to explore the city and really walk around.

Thanks Tim!
A year ago, that plaza was actually a busy roadway...

By adding the Plaza, it really moved a lot of the fan activties out of the corridor between the convention center and the Hilton.

Yes, I have been to conventions for work in Anaheim before, and the area near that front entrance was wasted. Now, attendees can enjoy the area, and the hotels overlooking the plaza just got a much calmer view. Did you see it at night, Bill? The blue stripe has lights that shine up and create a neat effect
Before they opened it up, the only outside area to hang out was outside the arena:

The arena is to the left, and that is Cars Land's "Cadillac Range" and Twilight Zone Tower of Terror in the background to the right.

Didn't know any of y'all were going down to Anaheim for this! O'Neill! Brown!
I'm down for a meet up next year if the Con is again in our neck o' the woods. Not a big Con fan in general, but wouldn't pass up the opportunity to finally meet Greer!

@Matteo: next year if it remains in Anaheim, will definitely connect with the guys locally to take in a day at the con...maybe do dinner afterwards at one of the local restaurants and pick on Timmah! as usual.
