I think I went and did a silly thing: I offered to volunteer for ECCC this year, so I'll be working, and won't be able to meet up with the rest of you until 2:00 PM on Sunday just like last time...

But at least I'll be there this year!

Neal Adams will be at the Planet Comicon in Kansas City this year, looking forward to that.

Got back home from ECCC Day One a couple of hours ago...

The place has doubled in size from last year, but it was still very packed for a Friday.  At the two hour mark until the exhibit hall closed, there was still a large number of people picking up their badges and heading on in.

Managed to hit all my planned targets, and ran into both Paul and Brad.

Saturday is shaping up to be absolutely crazy.  However, the staff and volunteers appeared to be keeping everything running quite smoothly today, so hopefully no squawks tomorrow.

ECCC Day Two was very crowded, but not as crazy as I feared it would be...  The staff and volunteers must have done an incredible job keeping things on track.

Started doing my pickups, and had some great chats with Brian Stelfreeze, Barry Kitson, and Phil Moy.  Will be posting the results from those chats later this coming week.  Got to shoot the breeze with Paul Greer quite a bit while waiting in line at Kitson's table.

One day more...

It was great seeing all the forum members again. Brad, Bill and Andrew are great guys. I only regret that we didn't spend more time together. Maybe next time it won't be a working con for me. Special thanks to Bill you always makes sure I get a Dick's burger at every con. Even if it was a day old. ;)

hey, great seeing all three of you (along with the other JBF member who was there, Steve Leiber).

A little 6 Degrees of JB: as ECCC Minion, got to staff the lines for both Mike Mignola and Chris Claremont (who were at tables diagonal from each other). Since Mignola never had much of a line, and Claremont's was pretty self-sufficient, it meant I got to hear Mignola chatting with his friend-in-crime Dave Stewart (colorist on almost all of Mignola's work for decades) about upcoming stories and such. Got an awesome little sketch from Mignola too.

Also had a chance to chat with Neal Adams, Ethan Van Sciver, Howard Chaykin, and a slew of others. That's why I keep going to these things.

The pain in my legs ebbed away with a little help provided by beer. Have to remember to not stand for 8 hours straight next time.

Nice seeing you all at ECCC!

I should have taken today off from work...  Aches and pains galore.  One thing I liked about last year's Wondercon Exhibit Hall was the carpeting they put down on the main aisleways...

Hey Andrew, check your email.

Hey Andrew, sent it exactly as you wrote it (as you just mentioned).  Maybe it's in your Spam folder?

Edit:  Sent another one.

Right now it doesn't look like I can make the Art Con, but we will see.

Philly and Baltimore are for sure and New York is maybe. It might depend on
who's going to be there.
