To Jeff---I carry both sketchbooks and full size(11x17) comic book page stock with me to shows. You might want to also look for a nice portfolio case to carry your material in to protect it and the sketches you get during the course of a show. Also, have reference with you of the characters you are looking to have commissioned at the show, in case the artist is not familiar with the character or if you are looking for a specific costumed version of the character in question. For sketchbooks, I use either Blick or Strathmore sketchbooks, they are acid free and come in different sizes. You can find them in most art supply stores or go online.

Little late to this page, but:  I'll be hitting Boston Comic-con, Ct Comic-conn, and hopefully a day NY Comic-con.  I've got a Perez sketch lined up for Boston, but the rest will be playing it by ear.

And don't forget Andrew on Sunday!

At least you'll be mostly in one spot during the con... It was hard enough keeping up with you in 2011 with half of the floor space of this year!

We still need to figure out a window of opportunity for your Dick's Burger run...

That's funny. At heroescon last year george was only charging 30 for a headshot but most people, including myself gave him 40. I gave george some nice 11x14 paper for the two Iron Man armors I had him do.

edit: I find I don't like my sketchbook but I carry it around anyway. I try to offer the artist 11x14 or 11x17 Strathmore bristol. That way I know it will fit in my framed where if the do on a Marvel or DC board it may not. I know this becuase until my new frames come in I cannot display 3 of my favorite pieces.

It's not really too hard to keep up if you use MODERN TECH like a mobile phone.

I'll stick with drums and smoke signals Brad.  ;P

Good thing I was following in Paul's wake two years ago that Saturday...  His badge fell off (easy thing with those notoriously weak ECCC holders), and Paul just went charging on ahead...

That reminds me to take a past SDCC lanyard to the con again...  Have yet to lose a badge with those.

Haha. Thanks again for saving my badge, Bill. The way things are looking I think a Dick's burger run may be best before the con Friday. Of course nothing is set in stone yet.

I prefer the use of Lanyards with the metal clip that attaches to the plastic pass, instead of the plastic holder with pin or the paper wristlet.

Paul and I have been doing so many cons that we should get like a
Willy Wonka golden ticket for these things.
