There is no one that does machinery/ tech better than you, JB. ( Well, maybe Elliot Brown, but he doesn't count.)

===== And you're getting better at it as well. JB, your tech has always had a distinct look to it, much like Kirby's did for him. I always thought it looked like it could work. This machinery I'm seeing here, looks like it WOULD work. It all seems to have a great functioning logic to it.

Probably no single thing I've done has served my drawing as much or as well as the 3D modeling. Not only has this allowed me to actually create fully realized versions of various vehicles and equipment, which I have then been able to use as reference for the drawings, but it has taught me to think three dimensionally to a degree I did not before.

I hadn't looked at this thread in a while, I'm really liking the looks of these comic covers and inside art. Looking forward to this series.

THE HIGH ROADS has very quickly developed a visual identity all it's own. Still recognizably my work, of course, but unlike much of what I have produced before. Somehow simultaneously slicker and more "realistic".

Yes and no. DAN DARE is an influence in much of my art, and certainly so here. But I think HIGH WAYS might perhaps owe a bit more to THE AIRTIGHT GARAGE OF JERRY CORNELIUS.

Whoa. We might be in for a ride much wilder than expected!
Side note: did you know that Moebius had no script for that? He would just sit down to draw and improvise each chapter making up the story elements on the fly...!

Yes. Pretty much the whole point of CORNELIUS, I think. Still the point of -- someday, someday! -- CITIZEN ZERO.
