Stunning cover.  Guy on the right is way creepy looking.

JB:  I recall you saying that you were doing the opposite of decompression with Trio.

Will The High Ways be as action packed (compressed?) as Trio?

HEAVY METAL introduced me to the works of Moebius, and that was definitely love at first sight.

+++++

I wonder what would happen if JB set out to tell a Moebius-like tale...probably 2001 done right!

Oh my God! JB! You've outdone yourself yet again! Can't wait for these!!!! Your spaceships are so ace! Great to have something like this to look forward to. Impressed how you manage to keep coming up with such intriguing concepts. Plus Trio 2? Cold War 2? etc.? I must be dreaming! And I don't want to wake up.

I like the premise and the art so far. The only thing I don't like is the logo!

I am curious about the title.  JB, you've alway used ROM as
a reference for an ideal title because of its easy legibility due
to its bold font and size.  I recall you saying something along
the lines of being able o read it from across the room.

A three letter title must, in a sense, be bold and large just to
fill space.  How did you arrive at The High Ways title image
(in relation to your thoughts on ROM)?

There are two basic schools of good logo design. Those that, like ROM, can actually be read from half a block away, and those like FANTASTIC FOUR or SUPERMAN that are immediately recognizable, if not actually legible, at a like distance.

THE HIGH WAYS leans more toward the latter.

DCBS is soliciting this #1 issue as having a "special DCBS variant"

Anyone know what this will be?  Just B&W cover or something else?
