Marv Wolfman commented on the book that the parts about him were 85% true and nothing worth writing to the author about correcting. He said that some of the contributors did not have the full story as they weren't in the office all the time (he was). That and peoples' memories being different.•• You need look no further than this thread to find people expounding upon the "behind the scenes" goings on at Marvel, without ever having been there! When I first came on line, and ran into this phenomenon time and time again, I started asking "Where was your office at Marvel? I seem to have forgotten. . . "

I just had a similar thought. It seems that those from outside of the box who scream the loudest about stories being untrue are propagandizing and spread more potential untruths than the book, film, news story, etc that they are attempting to discredit. The simple truth is that most of us don't "know", but tell ourselves perceived truths to provide the sense of comfort that comes from knowing. Even those who were there can only speak of their own truths.

You can see even then that JB was putting some thought into his drapery and fabric - very cool.

Nice pic, Terry, although I believe Romita is more accurately posing with that cover piece, rather than actually working on it. That Spider-Man issue is from June 1976, but a number of the covers behind Romita in the photo are from as late as 1979 (Black Panther, Spider-Woman, Star Wars, Marvel Super-Heroes, etc.). The "Still Only 25" cents blurb was the giveaway.
