Nice sketches.  Fresh costumes are hard for sure, especially nowadays, but you've got some great ideas with these.

Here's a work in progress (hopefully better than my last post).  Pencils by Steve Rude from The Art of Comic Book Inking.  Will post them with the final when done.

The inks are looking great Matthew.

Thanks Darren.  I know my inks are pretty close to tracing at this point, but I'm learning a lot.  I'm also not sure where "the line" is between adding my own flair and staying true to the original pencils.  It's mostly just for fun right now.

Well my two bits of advice would be firstly, reinforce the artists lighting. Secondly think about textures. Somewhere between ensuring the lighting is right and that the textures look like they ought to in your head, your "style" will win out. Tracing the lines around the faces probably wouldn't a bad third tip as most artists hate -anyone- fucking with the way they've drawn the face as this can screw up expressions and mood.

Here is a peak at a WIP inks over Anthonys L's Ghost Rider piece. I'm sort
of experimenting here as I go along, so it will be interesting to see where
it winds up. LOL

Looks fantastic Vlad. Nice sensation of "heat" on the surrounding blacks to the flames!

Great little touch.

take into some weird direction. :)

Oh Vlad i'm all for experimenting. I trust that you create something so much more than what i put on the paper with my pencils. If you are feeling up to it. When you finish Ghost Rider i would love to see what you would do to my horror tribute i posted.

Hey Darren, your profile of Batman looks vaguely Hispanic - almost like Ricardo Montalban under the mask. I like it.
