Of course, it all depends on the look you are trying to achieve. If you want
an all drawn piece and you feel better about it, than by all means you
should re-draw the thing. However, if you are looking for a kind effect
that a modified photo achieves, than I see nothing wrong with combining
both. I come from a commercial art and computer design background, to
me they are all just tools.

my first introduction to the name Micheal Golden was from Larry Hama. He was doing a signing at a comic store i use to work for so i asked him if i could get a bit of advice about my art he gave me a funny look and said ok.I said look if you can't or rather not thats ok really. He said no fine. then he began to rip me apart. He was pointing out errors in my art work that just days before i had John romita give me advice upon. Now i did have errors which John pointed out but Larry hama didn't point them out he was ripping into me on the things that John romita had said i did well. I the ripping with no hard feeling i kept on nodding and saying ok , being nice. Even thou he wans't saying nice things. Mr.Hama began to mock me by imitateing me and tlking down to me like i was some idiot. I took my work back and smiled. I said well i'll take what you've have said Mr.Hama, But let me leave you with this .Those who can draw do, those who can't write .

Larry can actaully draw. He's pretty good but he would rather
write.
I found these. I received the assignments from the reprints
editor and never once received a layout from Michael( he
ALWAYS gave cover artists layouts) after i was done he would
alway smile. I liked the man. By theway the inks on these
SUCK!!!
I wish i could have inked them but at the time i was penciling X-
FORCE.
