Oh, by the way I don't stipple the star field, I use an old toothbrush with thinned Pro White and my pointer finger. It is a good idea to mask the other parts of the drawing though. It takes no time at all.
That's what I meant--thought it was called stippling. Whatever it's called, taking the time to mask everything off and gettin out the toothbrush and getting a little messy is the time consumption I was referring to.
