Cool Batman!  It does ring of a Generations/50's style.

I'd say that life drawing is the single most important thing -any- artist can do, comics or not!  The hardest thing to draw is the human body.  To me, I think one of the greatest skills someone can have is to be able to look at something and draw it, and to have people be able to tell what it is.  I think it's like being able to play the piano.

Good luck in the class.  Please make sure you post your stuff from the beginning to the end of the class so we can see your progression.  And keep all your stuff so you can look back and see where you came from.

MAC...not the worlds greatest scans but from what I can tell, I -love- the tension lines on the chest area. Inking looks -really- good as well.

Really keen piece.

Darren, I may be wrong, but I think MAC went for a 90's comics print feel. And it worked for me.

It would seem that Johnny Canuck is already not an active member.  Perhaps it has something to do with that made-up name of his?

A long time ago, when supergirl showed up in superman animated series,
I got the... WHAT IF SUPERGIRL GREW UP AND KEPT THE SAME COSTUME
idea... long before it was implemented in DC comics... as I recall... it was
back in 98...

Nathaniel - That's a wonderful illustration hope to see more from you.

Roger - Pages are looking good, are going to ink them?

Andy - Pretty impressive painting as well, hopefully you will share more
of your art with us.

Michael - welcome back to drawing, no one will laugh at you, and anyway
the most important thing is that you enjoy doing it. Good to hear that you
are looking to take some courses, never too late.

JF - Nice take on Kirby classic.

Matthew - Tease! LOL

Joe - Quite impressive, more so now that we can all the detail

Chris - That's quite beautiful.

Darren - What can I say..... SWEET

Marc - Good splash page, but it may need a bit of a simple BG, it seems a
bit sparse right now.

MAC - Cool piece. Is that a scan or PS filter, I can't quite make it out. If it's
a filter, I would recommend not applying it to the black layer because it
tends to give the piece a "blurry" look.

Johnny - Welcome to the thread join in more often and have fun. :)

George - Nice SG pieces. How was the moon done? Painter?
