Well since all I draw are head shots.  I'll finish it. :-)

" It's "locked" me out of -all- my applications telling me that due to restrictions I'm not allowed access to most of my PC."

Thanks Rich. It's Windows 2000 though.

Effectively, I turn on my pc and once I've logged into my account (which is the administrator account) I get three error messages (all the same) as though three seperate programmes have tried to boot but can't. The error message is as I said: "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions on this computer. Please contact your administrator"

As such it also seems to have remover the "Run" option from my Start menu. Removed all the desktop shortcuts. I'm able to open Explorer through a rather contrived process and from there I can change my "view" to show folders and navigate my PC accordingly. However none of the applications will load, so I suspect that the last download has somehow corrupted my User profile. As such it's left me in a sort of paradox. The Administrator -can- change things but -my- account -is- the administrators account-Grrrrr

Frustrating...I haven't spent this long from Photoshop in the last three years...I've got the shakes-LOL.

[Nodding] Well said James. Chris has certainly had huge leaps in skill and I think his recent posts all certainly show this.

Apparantly not:-(

I've searched High and low for a floppy that would do the job but to no avail. I have a System Restore CD...but the computer isn't recognising the CD drive and with no way to "fix" that part I have no way of using the CD to resolve the other issue. Check-mate I'm begining to feel.

I would guess you've scanned your computer if it's possible for any virus or bug?
