Love the art Bill, but exactly do you mean, digital art isn't real? LOL

Cesar the pencils are great, Darren's inks didn't hurt either. ;)

Okay, let me throw this out to anyone who does any inking. What tools do you use? I'm just curious to see how the different tools used "present themselves" as the calendar pieces are revealed and as other pieces of artwork are posted here. For example, for my April calendar piece, I used the PITT brush pen, medium and fine point pens. Normally I like to use crow quill pens, but coming off of the commissions JB posted a few weeks ago, I thought I'd give the PITT pens a try

Thanks Darren, James.

Matthew- I'm not going anywhere, I'm just pure frustrated with my work at the moment and I need to chill from it. I kinda feel a little inadequate compared with most guys here. It's no one's fault and I know that this is just meant to be a sketchbook thread, but I'm quite into what I do and into improving it, but it just sucks at times. Sometimes we skim over others work and don't really help each other out, I know everyone leads busy lives, but it's just getting to me. Sorry!

"I'm just pure frustrated with my work at the moment"

I sympathize Chris. That's exactly where I was at last night. Take a break from it for a while and use this time to observe life around you. Then when you're ready to come back to drawing, you will have new things to try to integrate into your artwork.

(Or do what I'm doing and work through the frustration like trying to break through writer's block or a runner hitting the wall.)

Edited to add: By the way, Chris, your drawing ability has improved more than you think it has.

Bill - cute logo! Obviously a talent.

Cesar - thanks for the pencils on this! nice to see the frame behind the
building sometimes.

Mac - great work, once again! What is your day job?

Matt - I use Micron Pigma felt-tipped pens for my line work, and then
supplement (a lot!) in Photoshop once everything is scanned in. Tho, after
I did my December piece for the calendar, I realized I should put a bit
more time in with the pen.

And finally,

Chris - hang in there! I'm finally getting back to drawing after not doing
any for a long time, and sometimes just throwing it up on the board here
will give me the impetus to try something different.

Matt, I ink digitally, but on the rare occasion when I go traditional I use a
variety of croquil pens and Sable brushes sizes 2 to 5
