No lightbox on those ink pages.

I'm saving the jpeg, opening in Photoshop,
altering the color balance to non-repro blue,
lightening the level to super light,
cropping the page to fit on a legal sized piece of 20# bond,
and living the dream.
I have done four so far, and started a Robotman page from DP this morning.

Does anyone know where I can find other artsits pencil scans on the net
so when I do ALL of JB's I can keep practicing?

Joe - you just have to dig around.  Visiting the artist of choice website you can find some usually.  I think as long as you are NOT going to try to do something dumb (like pass them off as your own) you can play all you want.  If you're putting them in a portfolio, I'd ask first.  There were a few links on this site as well:

www.penciljack.com

but I don't remember where.  Have fun and post some more here when done.

James, you should have received the e-mail by now. Can you cofirm.

Also, is it OK with you? If you change your mind and don't want to do it, just tell me. If you want to do it, I am really thrilled!

Thanks again!
