So how do you do the buildings?

Justin Wasson

Is that Directed at me? The building stuff in the pages above was not photoshop work ... I did those pages the old fasioned way .. on paper...

But I have done 3D perspective shots in 3D Studio Max and then printed it out and traced the perspective with a light board. And add all the detail in after.

Thomas - do you use a grid to lay out your cityscape like JB does?

I've done the basic rules of drawing things in perspective but JB uses a ton more lines and has the help of a nice drafting tool doesn't he?  The first hulk page was just ruler work, but it's very flat and not much perspective to it. I'm trying to remember but I'm fairly sure I did the 2nd Hulk page with the 3D tracing i described in my last post. It was just 3D boxes for perspective .. all the rest I added in.

These are some drawings I did, with Photoshop filtering afterwards, done for one of the Kohan games I worked on. Done about 4 years ago.

Thanks!   I'm working at another game company .. on a secret title right now (sadly it's not a title i'm excited about) ... you can click on my www below and see my portfolio and even my work history :) I'm posting stuff here that didn't make it to my website, or stuff that is just too old.

I don't know if it shows in my work, but JB is one of my major influences... that's why i visit these boards almost every day.
