It's unfortunate to say, but I put my book on Hiatus. I have a lot of going on and my drawing keeps getting worse and worse.  What's funny is that the day that I finally decided to do this, your letter came to my house, and had the whole "Never quit" kind of vibe.  Made me feel worse all day.  I dug your drawing of your character reading my comic.  I think you did the cover better than I.

Hope you feel better now Justin. I think you should keep going, i remember seeing a page full of figures you done way back, which i thought was really well done.and i said to myself "this guy is improving every day". But i know how easily it is to go off drawing for a while. You can't get worse only better mate.i look forward to seeing more stuff from you when your ready. You have plenty of fans here . And i'm looking forward to inking and colouring your pencils again.

I'm currently doing a comic strip for my blog.  It's titled Just In Depression.  I've only done two so far, but I think they are pretty funny.

It's easier to just post it here. That way you don't have to join the site.

Justin Wasson - I like that comic.  And I've seen you improve as well, especially lately.

Justin- Having suffered and still suffering from bouts of
depression, all i can tell you is this. things get better, maybe not
everyday and just a bit at a time but they do get better.
I went thru 2 years of complete isolation because of it and
thankfully i made it thru without psychotherapy or drugs.
Believe me, most of the work i post is complete garbage.
And thats where you guys and many others on the net come in.
Your feedback is key to stepping up my game and that makes
we want to improve.
If the work improves, i believe my self esteem does as well.
And voila!!!
Just keep on trucking,brother!!

Ahhhhhhmmmmmm Now that i've cleared my throat, For the past few weeks  You guys have been posting some great work. It's been alot of fun looking at what's gonna come next. I'd like to also take the time to say thank you to you guys for the compliments you've been given me for my recent posts. I've been a bit under the weather and a bit depressed about how my career has been going this year. It's a real slow period it seems like it has come to a stand still. The longer it goes the  harder it gets to want to do something. The two lois's and the pitt piece i've done are all i've done in over a week. But thanks to you guys and the fine work you're doing you give me some inspiration to do something even if it's a bit here and there.

Justin  Don't give up hope. I know it's hard to keep on going when the bumps in the road are alot but you can make it.

Mac some of what you said about the isolation mirror's some of what i went thru and still feel from time to time.

You know it seems to be a common factor amoung artist. Depression and all . Must we be tortured souls to be creative ?

Anthony J Lombardi: Must we be tortured souls to be creative?

Seems that way sometimes, doesn't it?  Honestly, some of the best writing I've ever done came out of me during one of the most depressing times of my life about ten years ago.  Even so, I wouldn't ever want to go back there again.

Hang in there, Justin!  It's not as bad as it seems.
