There you are Chris.  Usually you're one a day...

Good blacks on that.  Colors are good as well.

Matthew T. Carpenter, Sr: Roger - very cool.  you have quite a knack for drawing metal bodies like that.

Thanks.  I'm not bad at rendering segmented metal (like the arms and legs on the character above), but I do still have trouble getting the metallic look on the larger sections (chestplates, etc).  Things look fine in pencil, but my inking isn't as good as I'd like and the end result usually isn't as good as I want.

Matthew T. Carpenter, Sr: Are you planning on pedaling your characters anywhere?

Yes, I am.  Part of the reason I'm doing the model sheets is to have a good reference library for anybody I eventually get to join in on the endeavor.  I plan to do the writing, breakdowns and some of the full art myself, but I'm not as fast on full pencils and inks as I'd like, so I'm hoping to eventually solicit some assistance.

I created the main character (from the model sheet I posted a couple pages ago) back in 1992 and he's gone through several revisions since, but none I was ultimately totally happy with, so I put the concept away for a couple years and just recently had one of those epiphany moments and came up with what I consider the best idea I've had so far.  Hopefully, I'll get to see where it goes.

Nice to have you back James!

Great sketches Justin, the penguin steels the show for me there!

Chris, some nice shadowing in Firestar there.

Roger, great skill there. Nicely controlled.

Didier, really lovely sketch.

Regards,
Darren Taylor
