I wish I had with me (but they're at my mom's) the drawings I did when I
became a 10-year-old Byrne clone. Lots of Alpha Flight and X-Men vs. the
Hellfire Club.

Darren, this piece looks fantastic. I am amazed at the level of finish (is this
english? I mean to say it's really clean and professional-looking) you are
achieving.
Er, BTW, you do occasionally draw something other than cheesecake, right?

Teod, could you give me some advice on starting out on oils?
Every time I've tried it, I flounder on a soggy canvas...

There's something "other" than cheese to draw!?!? ;-)
As to your first question, I think I may be missing what you are
driving at but please forgive my feeble attempt to predict your actual
question. Am I from the U.K.? "Yes" I'm from Scotland. I've been
heavily influenced by the American Comic Book Genre, hence my
"American" style.
Hope that's what you were after bud.
-Darren.

I was just expressing doubt I was using the correct word "finish" to express
what I was impressed at. English being a second language, and all.

Hey buds!!!
I have an honest question. If someone posted CRAP, and we all KNEW IT was CRAP. Would anyone have the balls to say it? If I did something awful, GOD, as an artist I would SO want to know.
Miss you guys!! Esp my sweetie, Darren.

Id tell anyone in a heart beat if something they did was a rancid piece of shit if it were. I don't do it to be mean but to be honest cause it's what i expect from others. I would make my points as to what i thought was wrong. Of course after asking what was the intended meaning of the piece and if it were off i'd say so. But it woulad have to be an obvious mistake and not a matter of someone's style or interpertation being different. I in return expect you guys to call me out on things i post if i'm not giving it my all or i fuck something up tell me.

Marc - depends who it is. If I haven't seen a lot from them, then
I'll be courteous and try to give advice. When I've seen some
work from them (you, Darren, Anthony L, Justin, etc.) I will chime in
if it is something that doesn't look up to what I know their ability is.

Flavio Sapha - dig your retrospect! I love to see an artists progression over time.
Darren Taylor - stunning as usual! her
eyes look a bit possessed, but you might have been going for
that. I like the light coloring you do in your pieces like
above. gives it a good feel to it.

Decided it was finally time to quit lurking in the thread and instead, join in. Inking samples only this time and the pieces should look familiar. My apologies to those artists whose work I have diminished.
