Alright, well as you may or may not know I always need reference when I draw, be it photos I take, looking in the mirror or useing models, so at the moment I'm trying to work on my thought to paper, so here's a 1st. I know there's a lot wrong with it, but it's better than my usual stick man. :p

Heh, thanks Matthew. I find it so hard it's unbelieveable!!! I hope I can improve with it, I feel okay with this little sketch, but it's nowhere near as good as I know I can be with ref.

Great piece Vlad. The shading is a nice accent to the image...that's why I like having a little colour or greyscale in the sketches I do.

Chris, this is a confident move from you, strike again, quick, whilst the iron is hot, so-to-speak.

This time play around with your "underpinning" a little more. Try and "watch" yourself as you draw. What you are looking for is the way that you construct the drawing. You want to become aware of your process, because once you know exactly how your underpinning works for you the more "shorthand" your underpinning becomes.
