So much I missed. I see John posted and noted how close we are to another landmark here.
Anyone think we should do something "special" for it?
Also "Hello" to James, welcome out from behind to cloak of invisibilty.
It's always nice to see people delurk. I agree with you James there is
a great "vibe" here. I think it has a lot to do with getting to play in
JB's court (that sounds a little risque!) and the great nature of the
many people who take time to comment and post on a regular basis, of
which you have just joined.
You (James) and Vlad seem to have a common observation, in that you
both see Kevin Nowlan in my work. I don't see it myself but I'm proud
that it's there as I can think of a million worse people to be
associated with than someone of his calibre.
Anthony, I saw and liked your Vamp in a tub piece and Mac...dude, you
really need get back into the swing here and help Anthony, Vlad, Chris,
James, Marc and the others out as we don't want them burning themselves
out huh;-)
Great stuff everyone.

I concur with you Darren, I'm looking forward to seeing what Mac is gonna do it's been sometime since we've seen something new from him :)
What do you think Darren another jam piece celebrating the 100,000 mark ?:)
Thanks for the compliment Darren about Vamp in the tub. Thanks to you i've been wanting to spend more time developing my female figure drawing...With Halloween coming around and Vampirella being my favorite female character who better to practice with.. I'm still not happy with my inking thou I feel i'm really butchering my pencils but alas i shan't get better unless i practice. I have a look in mind i want to eventually achieve but i know it's gonna tamke me alot of practice.

Anthony C - Welcome back dude, good to see your work here again bud.
James - Welcome to the fold, post away, we're friendly. :)
Anthony L - Love that card, it's a blast.
Anthony C (Again) - "Vlad, nice inks or should i say Mr, Giordano?
Humm." Yikes, talk about a complement, one of my top five favorite
inkers!! Thanks
Charles - It's looking very good.
Anthony L (Again) - That's pretty creepy man.
Chris - Look at you you, two inking jobs and see the difference, using
shadows and line variation, pretty soon you will be giving US lessons, ;)
Vlad BTW, I just noticed that I passed 500 posts. Yeah!

"What do you think Darren another jam piece celebrating the 100,000 mark ?:)"-Anthony
Well I kinda-think we should tip-our-hat once again squarely in John's
direction. What with the regretful demise of DP, I'm thinking some DP
"Final salutes". Just everyone do some DP sketches and post those to
celebrate the 100K Views mark.
Or maybe if we each choose a "scene" we liked from Johns run and do our own versions?
Just a couple of suggestions from me. Please don't start doing these -now-, let's talk it over first.

Anthony wrote: "Charles really good work thus far on the Logan bust. At this point even with alot of the details you are really captureing J.B.'s drawing so well. I marvel at your skill. It would cool to be able to sculpt like that."

Thanks so much, Anthony. I have been really amazed doing this sculpt. I have tried sculpting characters using other artists drawings as a guide and they don't work at all from angle to angle. This one works perfectly. There is another shot of Wolverine done in the same style in the scanned JB art section and it looks like a different style than the piece I am doing because it is from a different angle. But now when I look at my sculpture from that same angle the structure is identical. I don't know how JB does it.. it's like magic. He's superhuman.

Whooo! That's sweet Michael. It has a real "creepy" feeling about it. Gives me the creepy crawlies for some reason. Maybe it is how he seems to be just hovering on his fingers and toes. Maybe it is because the pose reminds me of th exorcist girl crawling on here hands and feet backwards... I don't know.. very interesting though...

Wow, thanks, Charles. I appreciate it! He's actually balancing on his fingertips, but can't quite manage a handstand (just kidding!).

Would anyone be interested in coloring the B&W scan I made? I don't have photoshop. I'd be curious to see what others do with it.
BTW, great Fist of Justice pics MAC!

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. I do feel like I'm improving. :)
Michael, I seriously love that Spider-man piece, it does have a creepy feel to it, like he's stalking his prey! Brilliant.
