Chris - that's not a bad start at all!  AJL had some good advice.  I'll tack on that a lot of times when I just focus on one area of a drawing, it has a tendency of looking like a lot of well rendered "parts" as opposed to an overall "illustration".  I have to force myself to work the whole piece as a whole, starting from the general to the specific.  Looking forward to your next piece.

AJL - in conjunction with an e-mail you sent me, you tempt me too much!!!!!  AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!  Layout is looking good.

Troy - WOW!  Coming on strong.  Heck of a good Joker.  If I didn't have like 50 million things to ink an color (cough AJL cough) I'd love to take a crack at that.  Maybe Vlad will - I’d love to see his take on it.

Marc - I've posted plenty of stuff here that's never been commented on, especially when I first started.  I don't think that anyone that post regularly here thinks your stuff is crap and I certainly hope you know that I don't think it's crap at all.  You've got great line quality.  Don't give up and keep posting!!!

Guys,

Thanks for the compliments on the bug.  I spent more time on the inked version than the painting, and yet the painting turned out better.  In fact I was just playing around with the painting and it started to look good so I decided to finish it.  Caused me to miss Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Chris,

Go ahead and paint it.  If there is something you don't like about the drawing you might be able to fix it in the painting stage.
