I jump straight into drawing. I'll start on the face and work down, light lines as a guide and then add some finer form. :(  I can never seem to draw like you guys! lol When I see yours it's like "BLAM, look at me!" ...I try and do it, but I'm getting fed up of the lack of invention.

I guessed thats what you were doing Chris. I use to work the same way . I achieved the same results and feelin you  stated. I stopped drawing that way and things improved. Instead of going straight into drawing the single bits. layout the entire figure or piece you're drawing beefore you begin adding the detail and refining the piece. Two ways you can go about working is begining your figure  using a series of geometric shapes  or you can use a looser more fluid style of wiggly lines. The later makes for a more fluid figure. The geometeritc shapes help you to develop a more developed understructure thus making your figure more appealing . Ive gone thru using both styles I tend to use a mixture of both ways now. Hope this helps Chris and of course the best tip is keep drawing drawing and drawing. :)

I always like to see Darin's inked drawings, and I love that Hulk and the painted bug.

I notice that Darin seems to have a thing for PG in her sunshine (yellow and white) costume.

Anthony, thanks for the help, appreciate that a lot. I'm going to give it a go. I suppose I've been holding off those methods because they can be quite tough to master, but it is essential to progress. I find it hard to draw rough sketches first, I'm not sure why, but I'll really make an effort to do it from now on, thanks again.
