Yes I did the Buddha a while back. Both sketches were done on the
same page of my sketchbook. The first one I changed a lot when I
made a painting out of it. The second one above is
unchanged. I wanted to make a painting out of it but I
might just leave it as is. Texture on the robe would be great but
I am such a lousy inker.
I had a bunch of paintings a bunch of pgaes back in this thread.

Charles-
To get rid of the shadow, you nay have to do that by hand, try soft wide
airbrush, it may stick out on it's own, but when you blend it with the
painting, it should work nicely.
Texture should be done before trying to combine the two. You can try
different texture filters available in PS. Try making copies of the photo
layer and applying textures to the new layers and than playing with
different layer blending features. You can also scan in your own textures
to apply.
To blend the two pictures try a layer mask and a large soft airbrush to
give you a more seamless transition, and always try the layer blends, they
are invaluable.

Thanks Marc, of course I have to point out that the pencils were done by
John C. Harrison. And I certainly wouldn't mind seeing it in color, but
that's strictly up to John.

Charles, if it will be any help to you, I did a really quick photo
manipulation. Didn't have much time maybe ten minutes or fifteen
minutes, but it may give you an idea.

I liked your Predator drawing James. I've always had an idea for a Mad Max vs. the Predator comic/movie. I figure, out there in the hot sun, you couldn't hide yourself from his vision.

've been working with PS for about 18 years, so it's kind of second nature
by now. Would you like me to send you the layered files?
