Since John offered... here is my inked version of his Dawnstar. At first I
was just playing with the piece as a warm up for my eyes only, but as I
went on I really got into it. :)

Michael - Looks pretty finished to me.  The linework used conveys the image very well.  Simple, yet every line is used to describe the illustration.

If you mean color, I'd have to look at a bunch of stuff that is similar to what you've done to get a feel for what to do.  If anything, I'd do simple colors with simple shading as not to overpower the linework.  Maybe a pattern on the robe to compliment the detail on the hair/headpiece?

Hope that helps in some way...

Are there any photoshop masters around?

I am trying to combine these 2 images and am having trouble getting it to look seamless.

I want to reduce the shadows on Natalie Portman's face to match the Mona Lisa and I would like to put that cracked paint texture over it as well. And match the skin tone "glow" too. Maybe blur the lines a little bit to make it look more like a painting.

I am having trouble trying to paint out the shadows on Nat's face because I can't seem to blend the brush marks well enough.

Any tips on how to pull this off would be much appreciated. :)
