Love seeing you work through your storytelling with the thumbnails Anthony!

Troy, Nice illo, elements of Art Adams in there to. Which is great.

Vlad, I've seen that before...I stored it on my hard drive so I can see it any time I please too;-) I remember being very impressed with the hair in particular. If y'all aren't members of the WPD Forum, then you should join. It's a nice place to bang out some regular sketches. Friendly atmosphere...and Vlad! -LOL-

You can have a look-see here: Visit

Oh yeah, Anthony, good luck in your new job dude but don't let that dissuade you from joining up at the WPD Forum;-)

I thought I would post one that I did not like too much.  Somehow the green did not turn out right but no matter how I manipulate it in photoshop it still looks bad.  Maybe someone can either fix it or tell me what I am doing wrong.

Did this one for the latest WPD sketchbook topic, Fantasy. I'm not a big
fan of Trolls, Elves, Unicorns... so I went with something more interesting
to me. :) This one called Stealing Summer.

Nice work Michael. I have no problem wit the first one at all. The second
piece could be absolutely gorgeous, it's just a bit dark right now. I think if
you will adjust the curves a bit it will just pop.

Vlad - always with surprises.  nicely done.

Michael - 1. I don't see anything wrong either.  Greens look fine.  Maybe tighten up the hands a bit.  A background would probably help it as well.  Even a black one.

2. that is an excellent experiment.  very nice

Thanks, guys. I've been meaning to draw something new just for the sake of posting it here, but I keep getting "stage fright" and back off. I've found it's much easier to draw when my mind just wanders and the pencil has a mind of its own. But trying to find a subject matter and sticking to it is another thing entirely. That's why there were so many unfinished pages in what I put up!
