Felipe: As far as I'm aware nudity is -not- okay. So I'd give that a wide berth pal.
Horror!!! All my last posted sketches are about nude guys :)

Hi Jeff,
I like your Venom better than the real thing!
*******************************************************
Thanks, Steve and Darren, that really means a lot to me coming from you guys!!! I think my portrayal of Venom is better than anything I have seen (that sounds really bad, I know). It seems like everyone else makes too big a deal out of his mouth and ends up making him look ridiculously cartoonish instead of menacing. I tried to give him more of a praying mantis type of look.

1. This will be post 900 for me - Yea for Me! Whatever...
2. This will be my last post before the board shuts down.
3. I love you all and miss you already. I'm also very tired.
On to more important things...
James - like the Super Nazi and Torch Guy (don't know their real
names). Now my sketching ability is nowhere near yours, and
please don't take this ill, but one suggestions is to check your
foreshorting on Torch
Guys right side (our left) his arm/hand look a little small and
his leg looks a little out of proportion. I know you said there's
some work to do to it, so I'm looking forward to seeing the final
stuff. you always surprise me with what you do and the different
styles you seem to be able to summon up. More Stuff!!!!!
Felipe - wonderful feel and line work to your sketches. You have
great command of the human figure and you have your own distinct style as well. Love
what you do. Maybe a fully rendered piece for the re-opening?
Justin - your a nut! As I was scrolling down I was certain that
was a picture of a teenage boy! You really know how to talk to
the ladies... Just kidding! Love the pic and the humor
(until my wife sees it - then I tell her that that is just an awful
thing to post...)
Jeff - echo of what Steve said. If your Venom was guaranteed to
be used in the movie - I'd be on board for using him in the movies at
all. I'm pretty against Venom in all his forms and don't really
like the way he's drawn. Yours is the best to this day that I've
seen. We should do a Venom contest when the board comes back
up. Love it. More of it.
Michael - i have to say that one of the things that impresses me about
your work is the command of light and dark you can order from the
colors you use. I'd love to see you work a bit more into your
"sketches" you've posted here and maybe use them as an underpainting
and see you dial in a little more detail. I wish I had such
command of colors in regard to painting as you do. I tend to
think in an airbrush sort of way when I do things because that's what
I'm used to. Carry on with more good stuff. Oh, BTW - I
learn a great deal by looking at what you do, so keep it coming!
Is that it? Unless someone is posting when I'm writing I think I
got it all. Hope to see you all "on the other side" with a
finished Iron Man!!!!
Peace!!

Hi guys, I have a question:
What are the inks called that you use to ink your drawings and make
them look exactly like in the comic books? Are they expensive?
Thanks in advance.
