Never noticed the "suggestive" nature of the sketch in the middle here untill now! LOL, I sketched left-to-right here and the girl was sketched in just by chance really after I sketched the dude...funny looking back how "your" subconscious "plays" whilst skethcing huh?

Thanks Darren, I simply love drawing monsters I get such a kick out of it. You know looking at some of your old submission samples. It boggles my mind how is it that you didn't break into the field .I found some of my older work samples from when i first submitted no mistaken why i didn't with those earlier ones :)

Well I've said it before and I'll say it again..."laziness" kept me from making something of a career for myself early-doors!
The -only- exception to that was when I was put in touch with an editor for Marvel U.K. who was commisssioning new covers for Spider-Man reprints. I spoke on the phone with the guy who told me what they were after. Although I never had done this before, I knew that he'd want a choice. So I did roughs for five covers. He replied that he was looking for more "action" in them. I sent a further five all more in keeping with the request. Then I got a "sorry". Well I'm an adult an I can take that. So I moved on but I was virtually spitting bullets when that issue came out and the cover artist that -had- got the gig not only turned in a piss-poor job (In my opinion) The cover design was static and boring.
It took me a while to figure out that I was never in the running for doing the cover, it was all just lip-service. The editor was doing a favour for our mutual friend (His boss) by appearing to look at my stuff but at no point had any intention of changing the cover artist, probably one of his friends paraplegic hamsters.

I love when you ink your own stuff. It just look so -you-. Nice a usual.
And the thing about the Spider-Man cover - I heard tons of stories like
that in art school, right along side of out right stealing of student
concepts. I'm sorta convinced that the art world is some unknown
mixture of -skill- and -who you know-.
