And here are a few images more in keeping with the thread's title.
These are sketches I did while in Fiji about a year and a half ago.
I drew pictures of the people as well as the scenery, but I wound up giving most of those away to whomever I was sketching.
It took a while for our ride to meet us when we first got there, so I wound up with this in my notebook.
One morning I woke up early and the window caught my attention for some reason. So I drew while the others slept.
We stayed at a resort for one or two days while we were there. I drew this pic while basking in the sun by the pool. (Wound up with burnt feet).
I tried to capture part of the pool at the resort in pencil. Very hard. Next time I'm sketching with colored pencils.
Anyway, that's it for now.

Justin - Thanks. That was the accusation back in the old days when you went in early.
And that's OK, you can be honest. The art is pretty bad, but I'm
not much of a sketch artist. It takes me a LONG time and a lot of
erasing to produce anything worth while. Like the Batman a few
pages back.

OK, so let me apologize to Prof. Vlad first by saying that I'm sorry I
didn't ask your permission to use this image. Second, it's pretty
crazy/stupid to use any of Vlad's stuff the first time you try to color
anything because Vlad can blow me out of the water any day of the
week. Third, here it is, my first coloring job...

Okay, I'll put something together for you chaps...remember though, these will be -my- findings not absolutes! I'm always finding new ways to do things that upto then I have taken as Gospel! But then if you stayed static, I guess your art would become boring, eh?
Here's a rough of the Hawkgirl I posted a little while back, it'll give you an idea of the level I generally pencil to when I ink myself.
