Looks great Anthony. The only thing that bothers me is the shadow cast
by the guy in the foreground. I'm not sure grey crosshatching really
works. A bit of black would really pop things more.

As a personal preference, I usually don't unless I'm doing a simpler more
cartoony piece, but that's strictly a personal choice. I assume you will be
doing some star stuff, so it may be less confusing without.

It's a beautiful piece, I can't see how the client can possibly be not
pleased with the piece.
For general scanning I go with 300 dpi greyscale scan. For high end
reproduction I go with 600 dpi line art scan.

Vlad- On your scanner, what is the contrast setting?
72 or higher?

Those settings really vary from one scanning software to another. I don't
really have a contrast setting, I use software called VueScan, it has really
extensive manual controls for scanning that compensate for the general
contrast.
