Here's our website...
http://www.comdevinc.com/
we specialize in over the road trucking companys and driver recruitment... ever ad starts off great - cool advertising designs that snap and are fresh then the client says, "That needs a truck n 'et." Needlsess to say I'm looking elsewhere! |

I feel your pain. Where I work there are some clients that want it "their way", no matter how bad it's going to look. I try to give them many different choices that look good (and 10 years experience at the stinkin' job as well!) but they always choose the lamest one.
Go figure...

I like it a lot Anthony, very dynamic. The only things that are bother me
are, the big white hole in the center as Anthony pointed out. Also the guy
in the center seems to be wedged in between the other figures and he
looks like he is standing on the shoulder of the guy with the feather.
I'm looking forward to seeing this one finished.

Something small that I just noticed in that Valiant pic: Turok's bowstring needs to be under his arm (not over it as the positioning of the bow is showing now), otherwise he's going to end up with a nasty nasty burn on the back of his forearm when he lets that puppy go.

Maybe I'm being too nit picky here. I'm not nearly the draftman you are, but my 2¢...
I don't know who the characters are, but it appearers the figure on the left is slightly in front of the figure to the right, but their heights are very similar, if not the figure on the right is taller than the other. The way the left figures left leg is laid out implies that there is more space between he and the right figure, but the right figures right arm implies that they are closer.

Good eyes Matt, i missed that one all together, i started laying
this out last night and was working in the dark with the light
from my screen as my only light source.
Anthony- Yeah, im not coloring though, in between 500-1000
sounds good.
I generally charge 1500 per B/W illustration and 2500 for
colors, so i'm losing cash on this one.
Thats what you get when your a nice guy. Damn ethics!!!!

It's funny, I can see stuff like that, but I sure as heck can't DRAW it. Drives me nuts. Just glad I could help though.

Once again, I'm not even close to your ability, and don't know you're economic situation, but I would charge what you normally charge for the piece, unless your anticipating getting a lot more work from this client. The one mistake I've seen the most, and made myself for the few things I've done, is to undersell the fact that you have a talent and ability that other's don't. The other aspect is that if you do it cheap once, they will expect it cheap all the time. And if it's your main income, that leaves bills unpaid.
To me, your talent should be what it's worth to you. You're good enough. Not trying to dictate how you do business by any means.

SONIC STRING DAMN IT!!!
MAC
Anthony- As long as the work is good and it's on time. Quality
and promptness. That's a lesson i learned the hard way.
Brian- Thanks, man. I'll make sure to put the string under the
arm-:)
I'll probably post revisions when the client gives the ok.
