Building on Robert White's suggestion about the old prospector gaining a laser pick and bionic ass as well as your posting the shot from the Art of Star Wars, we could call the series "Mick Quarry! Episode Four: A New Prospect!"

Nice! Acceleration couches instead of the typical chairs! I'm sure you would never see a chair on a real spaceship capable of any serious g's.

Doodling around this morning, I'm already seeing ways I will have to "cheat" when using the models -- basically, sometimes NOT using the model, because some parts are in the wrong place for my shot!

I'm so curious about this book!!!

Very cool computer model, JB - I'm looking forward to seeing this translated in the book.

And I'm really glad you will be creating more sci-fi!!

Me too! This is an itch that has been in need of scratching for a long time. NEXT MEN came close, of course, tho I was unable to fully escape the tropes of superhero comics. Not if I actually expected to SELL my comics, anyway!

(Of course, I was in puppy heaven working on STAR TREK comics!)

Ironically, the crash of the marketplace has made possible a broader range of experimentation. Since, effectively, NOTHING sells anymore, I can do whatever moves me.

I am feeling guilty right now for thinking this is a good thing.

Any chance this means that you might get to do Tom Swift? I'd love to
see some of the novels adapted in something like the Parker series
format.

I don't think young Tom has yet slipped into the realms of Public Domain!
