Another question if you don't mind...

Why does Ditko no longer allow for his photo to be taken?

I don't know for sure, but I believe it fits in with his general view that his work speaks for itself and his private life is not anyone's business.  He doesn't want to be a celebrity and I imagine he believes that allowing photos to be taken intrudes on his privacy and/or takes the focus off his work and puts it onto him.

Hm. If he really feels the focus should be on "the work" (and not the artist/person creating it), I guess it's a bit odd that his name appears 3 times on this recent cover...!

Also: I have seen images online taken from some of his books -- seem to contain personal views. That's not TOO far off from "giving an interview".

I cannot recommend the recent (as in last decade or so) comics Ditko and Robin Snyder have been putting out enough.  Thoroughly engrossing!  There have been new comics every two or three months over the last couple years.  Lots to seek out and enjoy!
