Nice page, but I'd rather have two cars.

Flavio - "Since it's Terry Austin getting the moolah, I am happy."

Is Terry Austin selling that? +++++++++++
Ah, I skimmed the article and got that impression...apparently, no, I got it wrong. Sorry.

Congrats JB, usually you have to be dead to garner that kind of price tag for past work.

I assumed this was going to be the Wolverine Hellfire Club page. I guess I don't really know anything about original comic art pricing though.

Wow! Not a page I would've expected to get that sort of price but the issue involved makes sense.
Horace, I don't think you have to discount splash pages. I'm pretty sure this is the most a Byrne page of art (cover, splash, whatever) has sold for. Anyone know of anything going higher?

It is the page that leads up to the death scene, can't remember how many pages after this that it happens. It is one of the most famous and popular stories of the 80s (just).

That's more than three complete issues, pencils, inks, script, that the buyer could have commissioned me to do. Original. Just for him/her.

Oh, posting it was the right thing to do. It made me look at the page again. Beautiful, impactful, moving. A piece of my childhood!

I don't know... that's the hard part!
One of the other threads had this discussion going... I had a few ideas there...
