I just had to see what JB's Guardian costume would have looked like with the red, white, and blue color scheme.

------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------------

Is that based on the (Lester Pearson) proposed
Canadian flag?

This one was in the running for being the official flag of Canada. What were they thinking?

How about the US flag with the maple leaf in place of the
field of stars? Our two nations may have to go that
route one day, to stave off the EU...and China...and
India...and Russia...and....

But back OT: JB threw me for such a loop with the death
of Mac! I was pretty young, and I hadn't really seen
death in comics. I had read the Phoenix Saga out of the
back issue bins, and I knew about Uncle Ben and Krypton,
but to see a character that I had really become fond of
die was a BIG deal. I re-read the issue over and over,
waiting for issue 13 to come out...which I am sure was
the point, right, JB? :)

No. It was posted on some custom site. I'm guessing it's a custom?... there wasn't a lot of info... someone was showing pics of their Guardian sculpt and someone else posted that pic as an example. I like how simple it is.

••

"The Canadian Shield". Tho that lasted about eight seconds. He became "Guardian" very quickly.

(For those who do not have all kinds of geographic information about Canada at their fingertips -- and I am sure that's only a very small number of you! -- the Canadian Shield is the name of the range of very old mountains that border Hudson's Bay.)
