File under "Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall".

I found another site to which this piece had been transplanted (despite requests that this not be done with ANY of the pieces), and in the comments thread one micro-brain pointed out there are "no black characters." with the obvious inference that this was my choice.

No sense of History, right? Aside from the fact that there IS one Black character, Gabe Jone with the Howlers, having him there represents the, well, maximum representation of Black people in comics of this vintage.

I mean, bottom line, with the cut-off here being somewhere around 1964 or so, who else was there? The real explosion of social consciousness in comics was still about half a decade away.

For some reason I never saw this commission before today.  Its amazing.  I really like the perspective!
