I am very much looking forward to this - I really dig it when you chart new territory, JB!

Is this a mini-series, or an on-going title?

Series of miniseries. Each story will get four issues, then there'll be a break, then four more, break, four more, etc.

And don't fret! The breaks will be filled by other thing. AFTERMATH for a start.

The more recent conflicts between middle eastern and western politics has tended to obscure the fact that for most of the 1950's people lived under a capitalist/communist polarization -- with many Americans and some Europeans considering building a fallout shelter in their own back yards.

I should clarifiy that part of the reason I'm watching "The Man in the Suitcase" series is to get myself in the "proper" mindset for enjoying COLD WAR -- not because I expect similarities between the series.

I also expect that COLD WAR will be about a single protagonist's efforts and that the lead will not be functioning in an "official" capacity like James Bond or John Drake but more like an independent operative.

What I find most appealing is the prospect of a non-superhero JB series.

I don't care what he does, as long as he does.

Honestly.

Funny you should mention that. I've been wishing we could afford to get Tom to paint a few variant covers -- or even the main ones!

Note to self. Email Jim Warden and reserve that cover immediately.

I really like what Tom Palmer's inks bring to pencils, especially JB's and JRJr's.
