Seeing Logan in his civvies makes me think of them walking into a bar or something like that. Perhaps, they'd be looking for somebody. "If you ain't gonna come with us, bub, we're gonna bring you with us."

I guess there´s only one guy in the whole wide world who KNOWS HOW TO DRAW SASQUATCH.•• What most who have drawn the character after me seem to miss, is that Sasquatch is supposed to be kind of "cute" looking -- until he gets mad. From what I have seen, too many try to make him look monstrous and savage ALL THE TIME. Remember, his face was based on one of these:

Whenever I read about "bone claws", I can't help but remember all the time the claws were said to retract into their bionic housings. Not to mention, the shot of Logan disintegrated by the sentinel in days of Future past showed a mechanical area for the claws to go into.

JB is the only artist that should be legally allowed to draw Wolverine in street clothes (at least) and Sasquatch. I kid. Kinda.
I really do miss JB's Logan. Hell, since Origin I miss Wolverine.

Not to mention, the shot of Logan disintegrated by the sentinel in days of Future past showed a mechanical area for the claws to go into.•• One of the reasons I drew that scene was because by then it HAD percolated thru Chris' brain that the claws were part of the mutation. Still adamantium, mind you, and I had asked how this incredibly rare alloy, which only exists in labs, could have turned up as part of the body of some Canadian kid NATURALLY.* I drew the fricasseed Wolverine to show that the claws were clearly bionic. The whole nonsense about "bone claws" came much later. –– * Adamantium was created by Dr. Myron McClain. Roger Stern's idea was that McClain had created the metal alloy that composes Captain America's shield, but he had done so accidentally. Searching for a way to duplicate the process, he created adamantium as the next best thing.

If I take a big heaping spoonful of sugar with it I can just barely swallow the idea that Wolverine's healing factor grew bone claws when his metal ones were ripped out. I absolutely hate the idea of Wolverine having natural bone claws as part of his mutation. That ORIGINS mini-series irrevocably ruined the character for me.

When Chris and I were working with the character we decided that the healing facter WAS his mutation. That it was his ability to recover -- eventually!! -- from the massive amounts of surgery necessary to literally replace all his bones -- well, that was what told the Canadian government it was safe to proceed with the project. His "berserker rages" -- homicidal mania before Shooter stuck a big foot into the works -- well, that was just Logan's personality. Of course, I should have known that making the healing factor that important, even on a low level to begin with, would lead to over-emphasis and exageration. Just never guessed how FAR it would go!

That ORIGINS mini-series irrevocably ruined the character for me. ---J. Hollon Wolverine along with characters like Galactus, Phantom Stranger, Eternity, Jonah Hex are ones I liked being mysterious. Not knowing everything about them. When I was a kid, my friends and I would make up orgin stories about characaters like Boba Fett and Wolverine and others without a solid history. Of course, we'd be wrong but that was part of the fun of following mysterious characters in fiction. For me, the appeal of Wolverine was long gone before bone claws and ORGINS.
