What exactly does `Digest Format` mean? Does it have smaller dimensions than the standard tp?

It's VERY small format. I've seen these books in UK shops.

I'd love to see this collected in two or three volumes (or, better yet, one single Essentials format collection). With all the money Marvel's made from Dark Phoenix paperbacks over the years, you'd think that twenty-something issues of uncollected John Byrne X-Men would be a no-brainer.

Yes, be warned... It's a really small format. Barely larger than a paperback novel.Personally I like the compact nature of it!

I thought that may be what digest means,i would prefer the normal format,i want to be able to see the art at comic book size.

Depending upon just how small they are, I have seen some digest editions of my work in which the pages looked really GREAT!! Comic art is usually drawn for reduction, and in some instances the greater the reduction, the better the work looks!

You have a point J.B. but we had some of these type of collections in the late 70`s ,i think they were called `pocket digests` and they were in black and white,if i remember correctly there was a Marvel horror one called Chillers and a Sci-Fi one,the name of which escapes me,i do remember Micronauts was one of the strips featured. They were ok,but the pages were too small to do the art justice.
