It's already been stated on the first page of this thread.

Ah, I see the word "ongoing" now. Guess I glossed over it the first time
through. Sorry.

Will these spy stories have elements of the "fantastic", JB?

By that, I don't mean aliens or time travel... But secret volcanic bases,
monorails and lasers.

I'm just intrigued as to the direction Cold War is aiming at.

Jim Muir: "... monorails and lasers..."

I remember Willie Garvin explaining what a laser was in an early '60s Modesty Blaise story by O'Donnel and Holdaway. They weren't a household word as they are today. This time period/setting could be a lot of fun, with JB's flair for the scientific.

... monorails and lasers..

••

Since the comparison to James Bond will be inevitable, I will use it myself, just here, to say that the general "tone" COLD WAR is going to be much more like the Bond novels than the movies.

JB, I'm already buying it.  No need to give me another reason to buy it.

I can't wait for this. The Next Men has shown me that you are in top form (I fell like the ole 16 year old me reading your FF).
This new series should be very cool. Thanks for getting me excited about comics again.
