This would be a great series to be a villain in!  =P

JB,

I have been looking over the sneak peek page periodically and wonder if some elements are taken from life. Are you using much photo reference for this series? The architecture looks great.

Swann is a GREAT name. I love it, and I am sure I will love simply referring to him as Swann.

As for any comparisons or similarities to James Bond, I love JB movies and am sure I would not mind them.

That said, I have never read a James Bond book.

Please reccommend one to me JB, and I will read it this summer.

Good luck with this, and count me in!

Edited to add: 6119!

Most of the first panel is from a vintage photo of East Berlin. The rest, except for using reference on the Soviet uniforms (otherwise I never would have gotten the pockets right!), is out of my imagination -- an imagination liberally supplied with images from having watch WAY too many movies!

This is incredible! I think this will be the third big JB home run in the last few years. First, JB on Star Trek, then the return of Next Men, and now JB tackling one of my favorite genres!

Looks great--I'm going to have so much JB stuff to buy when I get back to North America!

So looking forward to it.

I miss your superheroes suff, but thanksfully there are the commissions to compensate.

But I do like your "civilian" comics more.

And if you need a French name, please, go ahead... pretty please !

JB-

Swann probably has more in common with Joe Mannix than James Bond.

I hope he has better peripheral vision than the Joe Mannix from TV. That guy has to have severe brain damage from all the times he was knocked out on that show! But I like the comparison---always liked Mannix. Cool.
