I'm out. DC's lost me with this one and when my favourite titles wrap up I'll be done. Good way to save money and this feels like little more than a desperation move. The redesigns look terrible and would have been dated in the '90's. One thing the Image boys never got is that as soon as they go for a hipper, more modern look they'll be immediately dated and goofy.

Robert, that's a great question about when Post-Crisis DC lost it's way. I would argue that the Death of Superman and Knightfall were more "illusion of change" stories than anything else. Emerald Twilight was a little more permanent, but, I would argue, making Hal Jordan the Spectre was a more irreversible change for the character than Parallax. I'd also nominate the return of Krypto, since that seems a choice actively made to undo what Crisis did and was the beginning of the return of DC's silver age elements.

offhand i would say the Wonder Woman reboot is when Post-Crisis DC went over a cliff - instead of a Back-in-Time retrofit like Man of Steel - the "it happens now, and we'll iron out the wrinkles later" approach caused so many problems it took 20 years to make most of what it altered workable again --

Crisis itself may have been the beginning of the problem. Of course there were plenty of good stories told after Crisis, but Crisis made continuity and the whole idea of reboots and universe-altering events an issue and started the trend of it being done over and over and over and now here we go again. It may have been better if they had just stuck to writing around things rather than declaring that things would be fixed and making a big deal out of it. It might very well be easier all around, less confusing, and much cleaner to just ignore things that those creating the comics no longer want to deal with rather than making the problem much more noticable by drawing attention to it via an "event."

Hmm, guys are my store think DC isn't erasing Killing Joke with Batgirl,
but that either Barbara has been cured, or that new suit is an exo-
skelton that let's her move.

Doesn't fit what Gail Simone wrote. It's supposed to be Batgirl as she was originaly conceived.

Dave: i though of that too, but i believe it would be too complicated: If you want her back as she was conceived, then you need to have both batgirl and Babs walking.
