I am a huge Jim Lee fan. I just plain love his style.

But...

The guy can't design a costume to save his life.

I wish the "editors" were the ones getting the BOOT.

A publisher "learn", Juan? That's funny!

My unread pile has grown severely. Looks like the rebooting will give me a great point to drop everything except "Fables", "Northlanders", "House of Mystery" and maybe a "Green Lantern" series.

Great news on the day/date digitial distribution. And it makes sense (I guess) for them to relaunch all titles with an issue "1" in anticipation of the event.

I just hope that the stories are good and they have good writers who'll stick around for the characters, which seems to have been DC's biggest problem for the last ten years.

I guess, according to this image on http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=32563 we're looking at all of the superheroes getting collars on their costumes. Is there some push to protect the backs of superhero necks from the ravages of melonoma?

And after all these years, and all the artists who had to painstakingly stick to a model concerning Superman's S-shield, DC essentially retards it up worse than Jack Kirby ever did.

It also appears Superman isn't sporting red trunks any more. That should be hot.

A line-wide Jim Lee redesign of 50 major characters, dialling back the characters ages (and histories) and 52 first issues in september, with a 3 month warning?

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. This looks like a ClusterFlick of Japanese proportions. Hentai desu ne!

And no, I don't mean that in a good way. Sorry for any confusion.

They claim that "You can't live in the past" but when it comes to comic books and TV you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be! Thank God for back issues and DVDs.

What's the over/under on Superman and Lois still being married in September?

* * * * * * * *

If things do go back that far, how long would it be until Superman starts to remember being married to Lois?  If history has shown one thing, it's that these types of events start to unravel and things return to the status quo.

I have to wonder how important the titles are given the money made off of movies?  Do they publish just to hang onto the copyright?

DC Comics makes companies like Ford and BP seem cohesive and responsible.

I think any of us here--most of whom are not crazy slavering douchebag fanboys--would be stunned to be a fly on the wall during a meeting of Warner Bros heads and DC executives. To listen to what these people must say, in delusionally-hip-meets-corporate speak, must be akin to listening to Mayan priests discuss the merits of sacrificing their people to the gods of the sun.

Also Jim Lee is a hack. He certainly wasn't always a hack, but he exemplifies hack today.

Marvel and DC are not publishing houses, Brennan. They are advertisers.
