I don't know about villain, since Wonder-Man and Cyclops to a lesser level look like that, but it is a bad look for Superman.

I'm really tired of the glowing red eyes. He looks more like a glowering super-villain than a hero.•• Typical of the overkill approach we find in far too many modern comics. It seems forgotten that he's supposed to be able to use his heat vision without anyone noticing -- ie, that the beams AND the effect in his eyes are invisible! He's not Cyclops! Altho, when I was art robot on ACTION COMICS a while back, I was handed a script in which his heat vision was played exactly as if he WAS Cyclops -- battling Black Adam, Superman used his heat vision for concussive effect!

I could definitely accept some artistic license, to show *some* kind of effect when he's actually using his heat vision, but really, when he's changing clothes?
And JB, do you know if that scene was a matter of the writer not understanding Superman's powers, or not caring and just going for a cool visual?

On ACTION, when I raised any questions, I was told to "drawn what you're told to draw!" So I turned off that part of my brain and just made pictures, whether the pictures themselves made any sense or not.

Superman used his heat vision for concussive effect!
Maybe the writer just watched Superman 2, with the weird 'interpretations' of his powers (like lifting people from afar with a finger) <g>.

Adam, I didn't mean to offend anyone.
I was just noticing how some writers should be the first ones to "give the good example" instead of complaining, and to share this with you all (Cornell's reaction, alongside others, was from bleedingcool).
I mean, I agree with him, the story should be the most important thing. But, unfortunately, it almost never happens, and he is one of those who have a part in this.
I edited the previous post, anyway, so I hope there will be no further problems.

No, you called him into a thread that he was not participating in. And that's a douche move. Whatever the reason he's not joining the thread is up to him. This Crisis on Infinite Threads is no fun. We don't need this, and we don't need you starting threads about locked topics. You should have done what Robert Bradley said last night - he hit the nail on the head.
