First off, JB, my deepest condolences to you on your loss.  I'm sure that, whatever way to "handle" it, it will be in a means your father would approve.

In addition, if I may be so bold, from reading your postings about your father, it seems that your relationship was more than just father and son; it seemed that you shared a true friendship.  Cherish that.  Not all sons can say that about their fathers, and for you to have that friendship for such a long time is a gift, as I'm sure you know.

Take care.

JB, very sorry for your loss. Your statement about wanting to call him speaks to perhaps the hardest part about losing the ones we are closest with; they are the ones we need to share our grief with. I've experienced that feeling myself and it can be tough. Peace to you.

As I truly wish I would have had the chance to talk to my brother an hour before he died, I am truly thankful that you had that chance, John.

I send good thoughts to you during this your time of loss.

Rest In Piece, Lord Rushton.

Knowing as much as we do about you, Mr. Byrne, and the person he helped create, we know that he must have loved you very much.   You will carry him with you in your heart always.   He will always be there.   Bless you at this difficult time.
