Just finshed "SHOOTING STAR", the second Lawson Raines book by Bradley Wright. Highly recommend both books.

Undecided on what I'm going to read next, though.

Now starting the final book in Don Winslow's much acclaimed Cartel trilogy. Definitely not for the squeamish or faint of heart...

A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens.

The copy I'm reading I must have bought well over ten
years ago, but only got a few pages in back then and
then deposited it on the bookshelf. Been meaning to get
back to it, then, for a long, long time. It's now back
off the shelf and on the bedside table.

"Adventures in the Screen Trade" by William Goldman. A classic memoir about life in Hollywood that I'm just reading now. Really interesting seeing Goldman's view from the early 80's and how some of his predictions played out.

A few chapters in and it's still holding my curiosity.

Now going retro (circa 1986) to read the best known book by longtime sportswriter John Feinstein. I am no fan of college sports and so far this book is quite the eye-opener in terms of its content.

Just finished HEART OF TARDIS, by Dave Stone. Its a good book, but a bit confusing because it switches back and forth between the Second Doctor with Jamie and Victoria, and the Fourth Doctor with Romana I, with some other things in between. Not my favorite DOCTOR WHO book, but its a good read.

About to start I STOOGED TO CONQUER: THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF THE LEADER OF THE THREE STOOGES, by Moe Howard

THE FOUNDATION TRILOGY by Isaac Asimov

This is the Science-Fiction Book Club all-in-one edition, tho I first read the series (multiple times) in paperback. Gave up trying to convince my high school classmates that SECOND FOUNDATION is the third book of the trilogy.

Slow going, compared to all that has come since. Very much of its time (early Fifties). Easy to see George Lucas must have read it.
